About the course

Drawing training is one of the most exciting subjects in human expressive capacity. The dazzle of a complete language of technique, sensory perceptions, and persistence.
In this training programme, you’ll find some of the principles suggested for starting a personal graphic diary, in a language to be conquered with each proposed challenge.

In this 1st edition of 2024 we have new exercises and new challenges.

The course is free and so is the final certificate.

Start of the course

The course starts on 1st September.

How the course is assessed

Assessment is done by completing the 14 quizzes throughout the course.

In each module, there is an optional exercise which consists of making a drawing based on a script provided. We recommend that you practice each of the exercises so that you can develop your drawing technique. We suggest that you share the best version of your drawing in the respective discussion forum.

The final grade for the course will be weighted as follows:

  • Quizzes: 100% (14 in total)

Requirements

None. Perhaps the only requirement is the desire to learn and acquire drawing skills that will enable you to develop a graphic diary.

Team

Filipa Antunes

Born in Lisbon in 1973, Filipa Antunes is an Architect (UL-1996), holds a Master’s degree in Housing Architecture (FAUTL-2000), and a PhD in Urbanism (ULHT-2013). She shares, exhibits, and publishes her drawings and paintings through various cultural dissemination platforms, including educational books, collective exhibitions, and digital networks. She is a member of UrbanSketchers Portugal and has illustrated ceramic pieces for Vista Alegre Portugal. In parallel, she develops various architecture and urbanism projects in her own office, achieving the realization of numerous buildings and urban plans (1997-2018). She has been a University Professor since 1997, specializing in the areas of Architecture Design, Urbanism, and Drawing. She coordinated the three cycles of study in Urbanism: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD (2013-2017), and served as the Deputy Director of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism at the Universidade Lusófona (2015-2017).
